LAND WEST OF READING ROAD, HOOK
5TH JUNE 2021- 20TH JUNE 2021
Falcon Developments, under our Falcon Communities brand, is holding an online public consultation regarding a proposal for 20 affordable home ownership tenure homes. The online consultation follows the continued COVID-19 restrictions that have prevented us holding a face to face public consultation.
The scheme is an Entry Level Exception Site that will support first time buyers delivering the affordable tenures of
Discount Market Sale (25% discount)
Shared Ownership (initial equity share between 25% and 75%).
The masterplan has been designed in accordance with the opportunities and constraints of the site, delivering a mixture of 2-bedroom houses (75%) and 3-bedroom houses (25%) with private gardens. A large area of communal open space is incorporated to provide opportunities for biodiversity and ecological enhancements.
Housing Need & Local Connection
The consultation follows a housing need assessment that was undertaken in September 2020 within Hook Parish. The survey identified an unmet need for affordable home ownership tenures for locally connected residents who either live, work, or have close family members residing within the Parish.
The eligibility criteria may also include essential service roles, defined as ‘key workers
Applicants who have these local connections will be eligible to purchase the homes, ensuring the homes benefit first time buyers within the existing community of Hook.
