Rowlands Castle (East Hants)

The site is situated on the south-western border of the village next to Havant Thicket. The enclosed nature of the site with wooded surroundings and provide a suitable location for a small-scale development within the Parish.

Partnering with Vivid Homes (as the Registered Social Landlord) and under the Falcon Communities brand, the proposal is to deliver 100% Shared Ownership housing for those with immediate connections to the village.

As an independent housing needs survey of Rowlands Castle Parish was undertaken by Action Hampshire. The survey provided an evidence base of considerable need of Shared Ownership tenure housing for locally connected residents.

Following an online public consultation in 2021 a planning application was submitted to East Hants and is awaiting determination in Spring 2023.
